Already have rooftop solar? Enter your system and the appliances you want to run together. See how much load they need, how much solar may cover and what changes when the grid goes down.
What do you want to run on your solar?
Start with your existing solar system, then add the appliances you want to use together.
Quick Estimate keeps the main inputs simple. You can still edit appliance watts.
Tell us about your solar
Panel capacity is not the same as solar power available right now.
How much solar is available now?
If you can see the current solar output in your inverter app, use it. That gives the best result.
Choose a broad condition. These are only illustrative planning scenarios, not a weather forecast.
What do you want to run together?
Tap an appliance to add it. You can change the watts after adding it.

Battery / backup check
Simple daily energy estimate
For AC, refrigerator and other variable loads, watts × hours is only a simple estimate. Actual daily energy can be lower or higher.

What this result means
Important: This is a running-load and energy explanation tool. It does not prove that a particular motor, compressor or inverter will start successfully, and it does not replace an electrical assessment.
What is this calculator actually checking?
It starts with the solar system you already have. Then it adds the appliances you want to run together and compares their running load with the solar power available at that moment.
This is different from a solar-size calculator. It does not tell you how many panels to buy.
Why can 5 kW solar show much less than 5 kW?
5 kWp is the installed panel rating under test conditions. Actual solar output changes through the day and with sunlight, module temperature, roof direction, shade, system losses and inverter limits.
If you can see the current solar output in your inverter app, enter that number for the most useful result.
If my appliances need more power than solar is producing, what happens?
For a normal on-grid home while the grid is available, solar can cover part of the running load and the grid can supply the remaining demand, subject to your installation and connection limits.
That is why a 3 kW solar plant does not automatically mean the total house load must stay below 3 kW when the grid is available.
Why does on-grid solar stop during a power cut?
Normal grid-connected solar inverters use anti-islanding protection. When the grid goes down, the inverter stops supplying power to the grid-connected installation.
A suitable hybrid or backup arrangement is different and has its own backup output and battery limits.
Why is AC wattage only an estimate?
AC tonnage is cooling capacity. It is not the same thing as electrical input power. Inverter ACs also change their electrical input as the compressor speed and room load change.
If your AC label or app shows input watts, replace the estimate with that value. The calculator will use your number.
What does the Strong / Moderate / Low solar option mean?
These are only broad examples for people who do not know their current inverter output. They are not a location or weather forecast.
Use your actual inverter/app reading whenever possible.
How is the battery runtime estimated?
The simple night estimate uses the usable battery energy, current battery charge, the entered conversion efficiency and the selected running load.
Actual runtime can change when AC load varies, the battery state changes, or solar contributes during the day. Treat the answer as an estimate, not a guaranteed backup time.
Why do some appliances show a range?
Different models can use very different power. The preset range is there to show this uncertainty instead of pretending one watt number is correct for every appliance.
When you enter your own running watts, that appliance is marked as user input and the calculation uses your value.
I have not installed solar yet. Is this the right calculator?
This tool is mainly for people who already have rooftop solar. If you are still deciding how much solar to install, use the Home Solar Size Calculator India.
Important to remember
This calculator is for understanding running load, solar contribution, grid support and simple battery scenarios. It does not select an inverter, design electrical protection or prove that a compressor or motor will start successfully.
Your numbers are calculated in your browser. No phone number or email is needed.
